Horticultural golden expanded fireproof vermiculite

Vermiculite is a layered structure of magnesium containing aluminosilicate secondary metamorphic mineral, resembling mica in appearance. It is usually formed by hydrothermal alteration or weathering of black (gold) mica. Due to its flexural shape when heated and dehydrated, it resembles a leech in shape and is commonly referred to as vermiculite. Vermiculite has properties such as thermal insulation, frost resistance, antibacterial, fireproof, water absorption, and sound absorption. In theory, roasting at 800-1000 ℃ for 0.5-1 minutes can rapidly increase the volume by 8-15 times. The color changes to golden yellow or silver white, forming a loose texture of expanded vermiculite, but it is not acid resistant and has poor dielectric properties. Widely used in fields such as construction, metallurgy, chemical industry, light industry, machinery, electricity, petroleum, environmental protection, and transportation.

Vermiculite ore usually contains vein minerals such as pyroxene, calcite, phlogopite, biotite, feldspar, quartz, and serpentine. Therefore, mineral processing and purification are generally necessary to meet the requirements of users. The beneficiation methods of vermiculite can be divided into three types: manual sorting, dry method, and wet method. Dry methods generally use air selection because the bulk density of expanded vermiculite is lower than that of gangue minerals. Wet methods include water selection, flotation, etc. Expanded vermiculite is a loose, layered particle composed of many thin flakes that rapidly expand by about 20 times in a short period of time through drying, crushing, calcination, or chemical methods, using vermiculite as raw material. Expanded vermiculite can be bonded with various adhesives to produce various PRODUCTS, such as cement expanded vermiculite PRODUCTS, cement vermiculite, insulation materials, water glass expanded vermiculite PRODUCTS, asphalt expanded vermiculite PRODUCTS, asbestos vermiculite PRODUCTS, vermiculite fireproof boards, expanded vermiculite lime slurry, etc.
