Limestone

Limestone is an industrial rock with a wide range of applications and high usage in industry. The main chemical component of limestone is calcium carbonate (CaCo3), which is presented in the form of calcite particles. The crystal morphology is complex, often appearing as triangular or rhombohedral, light gray or bluish gray, dense blocky, granular, nodular, and porous structures. Limestone is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, construction, building materials, environmental protection, agriculture, food and other fields.
Limestone resources are abundant and generally only require simple ore washing, without the need for complex beneficiation processes for purification. The processing of limestone mainly involves crushing, grading, and producing lime, hydrated lime, precipitated calcium carbonate, ultrafine calcium carbonate, carbon dioxide, etc. Limestone is the main raw material for light calcium carbonate. Limestone can be used to prepare ordinary light calcium carbonate, as well as ultrafine and nano calcium carbonate. In addition, ultrafine active calcium carbonate can be prepared through surface modification.
